Role summary
This Service Support Assistant role is with Connect Healthcare Rotherham CIC, a GP-led organisation providing primary care services. The position involves administrative and secretarial duties, supporting the delivery of patient care and general practice. It requires strong organisational skills and knowledge of MS Office and GP clinical systems. The role is part-time and fixed-term for 12 months.
Key responsibilities

Essential criteria
- Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience
- Administrative / secretarial experience
- Good working knowledge of MS Office systems including: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of GP clinical systems (SystmOne)

- Knowledge of NHS Primary Care / General Practice
- Data entry / keen eye for detail
- Experience / Knowledge of NHS Issues
- Communication Skills
- Able to maintain productive relationships with all levels of staff
- Effective team working
- Good standard of literacy/English language skills
- Able to maintain professionalism when dealing with stressful situations
- Autonomy / Freedom to act
- Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own workload

Connnnect Healthcare Rotherham Community Interest Company (CIC) is a federation of 28 GP practices in Rotherham. The organisation is led by a Board of representatives from general practice in the Borough, with executive leadership from a Medical Director on a part-time basis.
The organisation currently delivers extended access primary care services in Rotherham and a Physio First service in partnership with the local acute and community trust, the largest of its kind currently operating. In addition, the organisation is supporting the development of primary care networks and manages delivery of training and development to large cohorts of the general practice workforce.
