Role summary
This role is for a Senior Clinician to lead the Intensive Outreach Pathway within Core Teams, providing healthcare and treatment to adults with severe and enduring psychosis who struggle to engage with mental health services. The post holder will manage a complex caseload and offer leadership and consultation to other professionals. It requires significant clinical skill, knowledge, and specialist training.
Essential criteria
- Professional Qualification (RMN, OT, SW, other) with current professional registration with relevant body.
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development (e.g working with assertive outreach model, psychosis, specific MH interventions such as motivational interviewing)
- Experience in providing strong leadership & promoting good team working
- Experience in supervising and appraising staff, including managing performance
- Extensive clinical experience in a mental health setting
- Understand Health and Safety issues, including personal safety, working with risks and reporting incidents and accidents
- Ability to support others with complex clinical decision making and lead MDT discussion
- Managing projects and change
- Qualifications/ Registrations

Job summary
The post holder will act as the Senior Clinician within the Intensive Outreach Pathway in the Core Teams. The pathway provides healthcare and treatment to adults experiencing a high level of inpatient admissions, severe and enduring psychosis, who have found it hard to engage with mental health services. The role will focus on the clinical management and effective leadership of the Intensive Outreach Pathway within a Core Team.
The post holder will carry a caseload of the most complex service users in the service, in addition to providing leadership and consultation to other professionals in the team. As such, the post holder will be required to have significant clinical skill and knowledge underpinned by experience, and specialist training / academic study.
