Role summary
This role is for an experienced and motivated nursing professional to provide clinical and operational leadership within the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality, patient-focused care, lead and manage staff, and oversee appraisals, rota management, and recruitment. The position involves maintaining high standards of evidence-based nursing practice, promoting ED competencies, and acting as a clinical specialist. It combines clinical and managerial responsibilities, requiring a visible leader who demonstrates the Trust's PROUD values.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse (valid with NMC)
- To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
- Degree or evidence of actively working towards degree level or evidence of equivalent health care related study
- Post registration A&E course or equivalent study to post graduate level
Desirable criteria
- Master's level study
- Certificate in management and leadership (or equivalent)

- Substantial post registration emergency nursing experience
- Currently working effectively as a Band 6 in an Emergency Department or emergency care setting

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated nursing professional to provide clinical and operational leadership within the Emergency Department.
