Job summary
We have
an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Dietitian to join the Therapy
Department at Princess Alexandra Hospital. You will work as part of a team of
paediatric dietitians to provide a comprehensive dietetic service across the
Trust, including the childrens ward, regular outpatient clinics, and the home
enteral feeding service. You will be responsible for assessing and managing the
nutritional needs of paediatric inpatients, supporting families with dietary
advice, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe,
evidence-based care. You will also manage aspects of the childrens ward and
contribute to the neonatal unit, working closely with the paediatric team lead
to deliver high-quality, patient-centered nutrition support.
Main duties of the job
As a
Paediatric Dietitian, you will cover regular outpatient clinics, reviewing
referrals from a variety of specialties as well as the local Child Development
Centre, which may include children with neuro-disabilities such as cerebral
palsy or social and communication disorders such as autism. You will review and
adjust home enteral feeding plans, coordinating with the community nursing team
to ensure appropriate feeding equipment and support. You will also educate and
