- Wide variety of clinical experience
- Experience of excellence in leading all /part of a clinical team in practice.
- Experience of teaching and supporting learners / new staff etc
- Skills and knowledge
- Proven clinical knowledge linked to area of specialty, and excellence in care delivery Computer literacy skills
- Proven knowledge of safety issues through clinical governance and risk management
- Proven leadership and deputising skills in clinical area
- Knowledge of current challenging and issues in nursing
- Commitment to teaching and learning for self and others
- Clinical decision making skills and ability to prioritise workload

The Intensive Care Unit comprise of a combination of Level two and Level Intensive Care beds. We care for a broad range of critically ill patients and offer a friendly and supportive working environment were education is seen as a priority. If you join us we will expect you to provide excellent, compassionate care to all our critically ill patients and their families. We are looking for nurses with experience in intensive care: You will have completed your intensive care course, have experience of supporting learners and be keen to pursue your career in intensive care. The band 6 role focuses upon the development of nurses, involvement in project work before moving on to develop skills in coordinating of our general intensive care unit and Burns Intensive Care. You will be given a structured education plan to meet your individual needs to help you to continue to develop as an intensive care nurse. It is an exciting time to join the team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as we have just completed our refurbishment in our ICU area for increased capacity.
