Role summary
This role is for an experienced and highly skilled Echocardiographer to join a world-class imaging centre in London. The post holder will perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms independently, write clinical reports, and manage their own professional development. It involves working within a multidisciplinary team, rotating to different sites, and contributing to service development and teaching. The position offers exposure to diverse clinical pathologies and advanced echo modalities.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate essential experience of performing and reporting echocardiograms independently
- Years of experience
- Knowledge and practical experience in at least one specialist area e.g. stress echo, congenital heart disease
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of practical understanding of using advanced echo modalities e.g. 3D, strain
- Experience of leading a small project within a team e.g. QA, audits, patient experience funds
- Experience of multiple site rotation
- Use of different Echo scanners from different vendors
- Experience of applying theory into practice
- Experience of verbally or written communication with various stakeholders e.g. consultants, admin, other allied health professionals
- Stock management
- Presentation at conference or MDT
- BSE, European or equivalent accreditation qualification in specialist area
- Demonstrate experience in managing clinically unstable patients
- ILS certification
- Cannulation skills
