Role summary

As a 111 Health Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for patients, using specialist computer software to assess symptoms and provide reassurance. This role involves handling a wide variety of calls, some emotional, requiring strong customer service skills and compassion. You will receive comprehensive paid training and have opportunities for development within the Integrated Urgent Care Service. After 18 months, you can progress to a Band 4 Enhanced Health Advisor.

As a health adviser, you are the patients first point of contact, using your skills, alongside specialist computer software, to assess their symptoms and give them the help and reassurance they need.

We can offer a competitive base salary, starting at £25,760 rising to £27,476 after two years (per annum, pro rata for part time employees). In addition, the role attracts enhanced payments for unsocial hours worked in the evenings and weekends.

Due to scope of practice and regulatory obligations, individuals holding active NMC or GMC registration are not eligible for appointment to this role whilst maintaining that registration.
