Role summary
This role involves specialising in echocardiography, providing full technical analysis and interpretation of results for medical staff to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. The post holder will participate in specialist echo clinics, including physiologist-led valve clinics, bubble and contrast studies, and will rotate through Community Diagnostic Centres. It requires performing scans to the BSE Minimum Dataset and making judgments on the severity of results, informing medical staff immediately of urgent findings. There is an opportunity for future development in other specialist echo services and potential rotation through cath lab and pacing clinics.

- BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- BSE accreditation
- RCCP or equivalent
- ILS
- ASCST
- Expert in Echocardiography
- Knowledge of internal IT systems

- Proficient in Holter analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years as a qualified physiologist
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask

Main duties of the job

Rotate through the Community Diagnostic Centres at Rochester Healthy Living Centre and Sheppey Community Hospital.
