Role summary
This role is for an experienced Clinical Assurance Manager to join the Quality Team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. You will lead and support clinical assurance, audit, accreditation, and improvement activities across the Trust. The position involves providing expert advice on clinical audit methodology and quality improvement initiatives. It's an opportunity to significantly impact patient safety and service excellence by coordinating Trust-wide assurance projects and contributing to quality governance reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Trust-wide clinical audit and assurance projects.
- Support the development and delivery of improvement programmes arising from audit and assurance findings.
- Provide specialist advice on audit design, methodology, data analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate participation in national clinical audits and assurance programmes.
- Produce high-quality reports for senior leaders, committees and Trust Board assurance processes.
- Supervise and support the Clinical Assurance Specialist and other junior team members.
Essential criteria
- Post graduate qualification in a relevant subject, such as quality improvement, audit &/or research or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Extensive NHS experience.
- Significant experience of undertaking and coordinating clinical audit, assurance projects or research activity.
- Advanced use of techniques to analyse, interpret and present qualitative information
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to produce high quality documents.
- Can initiate, plan, manage, and deliver projects with minimum oversight.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of supervising staff.
- Knowledge of main institutions and government organisations setting nationally agreed standards for best practice
