Role summary
This role involves joining a new Face Fit Testing Team to oversee the delivery, development, and compliance of an effective face fit testing service across the Trust. The successful candidate will carry out quantitative and qualitative face fit testing for staff required to wear FFP3 respirators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures. It's a people-focused role requiring excellent communication to provide professional advice and support, helping staff understand and use respiratory protective equipment safely.
Essential criteria
- 4 GCSEs including Maths and English Grade C or an equivalent good standard of education at GNVQ (Level 3 or above) or similar level
Desirable criteria
- Valid Quantitative and Qualitative Fit tester qualification from a Fit2Fit accredited trainer.
- Experience and Knowledge
- Willingness to complete formal training and achieve a recognised quantitative and qualitative face fit testing qualification. A team player who works collaboratively and supports team objectives. Clear, concise and effective communicator with good listening skills and the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences. Able to work independently, follow procedures and meet deadlines. Confident using Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in the NHS or another public sector environment. Previous face fit testing experience. Experience using ESR, Freelearn or similar data management systems. Experience delivering training and working with a wide range of people. Awareness of Health and Safety requirements within a healthcare setting.

- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment. Accurate data entry skills and use of software to manage data. Ability to use initiative to make decision within sphere of work and being able to recognise when assistance is required. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, confident and people-focused individuals to join our new Face Fit Testing Team.
Face fit testing for respiratory protective equipment is a mandatory requirement under health and safety legislation. This role will play an important part in overseeing the delivery, development and compliance of an effective face fit testing service across the Trust.
The successful candidates will work within the Health and Safety Team and closely with staff and colleagues across a range of services, using excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide a professional, supportive and responsive service.
Applicants should indicate their preferred hospital base from the main Trust sites: Royal Free Hospital, North Middlesex Hospital, and Barnet / Chase Farm Hospitals. Although the roles will be predominantly site-based within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, travel to other Trust sites will be required to meet service needs and ensure face fit testing is delivered effectively across the organisation.
