Role summary

This is an Associate Practitioner role in Biochemistry, primarily based at Royal Stoke University Hospital.   • IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part II
  • Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions
  • Able to utilise initiative to solve problems and develop the service
  • Keyboard skills and attention to detail in support of Sample receipt & Referral - Triage within Lab sections
  • Ability to motivate and support others to achieve goals
  • Experience of training staff in own work area
  • Ability to manage Stock levels - Competent with Stock Assist

Main duties of the job

The post will be based primarily at Royal Stoke Hospital. This is an interesting, varied and important job, and previous experience of working in an NHS Clinical Pathology laboratory is required.

This AP role looks to develop any B3 skills held into aspects of a supervisory role & training.
