Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Senior Theatre Practitioner to join the busy Head and Neck Operating Theatres team. The role involves supporting the perioperative team in delivering safe and effective patient care across scrub, anaesthetic, and recovery roles. You will act as a team leader, mentoring junior staff, coordinating theatre lists, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the theatre manager to ensure seamless operations.

Main duties of the job
As a senior theatre practitioner, you will support the perioperative team in delivering safe and effective patient care during scrub, anaesthetic, and recovery roles. You will act as a team leader, mentoring junior staff and coordinating theatre lists to ensure the safe organisation of theatre. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control and patient safety standards. You will work closely with the theatre manager to provide a seamless link between senior colleagues and the wider theatre team.
