Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the theatre department, managing the stock and equipment, and ordering items for use in the clinical environment.
This is a busy role working across several disciplines working closely with the theatre teams and the management team. The role is part of a small team working closely together.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities include:
- Using the Trust procurement systems i.e. Integra and NHS Supply Chain to order stock items.
- Carrying out stock management tasks, i.e. stock location, reordering, stock put away and housekeeping within the relevant areas.
- Communication at all levels within the job role is vital in relation to the requirements of the various teams.
- Working closely with the Procurement teams to establish alternative products where the standard item is not available.
- Working proactively to ensure that stock levels are suitable for the needs of the service, and escalating any concerns to Senior Management.
- Managing the sterile instrument sets used within the theatre environment.
About us
The successful candidate will ideally have managed stock or equipment in a previous role. An understanding of the NHS would be an advantage.
