An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Fife's Diabetes & Weight Management Team as a Band 4 Healthcare Support Worker.
This new post has been created to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of NHS Fife's Obesity Medicine Pathway, helping patients access evidence-based obesity treatment as part of a specialist multidisciplinary service. You will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey and contributing to the safe and effective implementation of the pathway across Fife.
About the Role
Working closely with our specialist Pharmacist Prescriber, Dietitians and wider multidisciplinary team, you will support patients throughout their treatment journey within the Obesity Medicine Pathway.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing education and practical support to patients commencing obesity medicines.
· Recording and reporting patient outcome
