Role summary
This role is for a Quality Co-ordinator in Sterile Services, focusing on leading a customer-focused Quality Management System. The successful candidate will implement quality control and risk management processes, ensuring compliance with Trust, National, and European safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing audit schedules, equipment calibration, document control, and acting as the lead contact for external audits and regulatory bodies. The position requires expertise in standards, compliance, CAPA, process control, auditing, risk management, and supplier quality.
Essential criteria
- oQualified for internal auditing & implementation of ISO 13485:2016 oGeneral Risk Assessment training oMedical Device Risk Management training (ISO 14971:2019) oCOSHH Risk Assessment training Training in HTM 01-01 parts A to E
Desirable criteria
- oWorking towards NVQ or equivalent in Decontamination
- oExtensive experience with: oQuality Management systems oImplementing audit mechanisms. oProduction processes of Medical Devices
- oExtensive experience in sterile services and endoscopy departments
- oWorking knowledge of SSD and endoscopy processes. oWorking knowledge of BS EN ISO 13485:2016
- oExtensive knowledge of theatre instrumentation
- oAbility to work on own initiative, unsupervised Organizational skills oTime Management skills Good communication skills Personable oTeam worker PC literate oGood report writing skills
- Commitment to Trust Values and Behaviours

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, well-organised individual with great communication skills and high attention to detail to apply for the role of Quality Co-ordinator in Sterile Services at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.
The successful applicant will need expertise in these areas :
- Standards and Compliance: familiarity with framework requirements (eg ISO13485:2016, MDR), regulatory audit readiness, and maintaining document hierarchies.
