Role summary
This role is for a Trainee Recovery Worker to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol use within community services. You will undertake a learning and development program, working 28 hours per week, to deliver recovery-focused interventions and manage a caseload. The position involves supporting service users through their treatment journeys, helping them achieve personal goals, and building positive connections. You will gain experience in assessment, care planning, harm reduction, and motivational approaches, working within a multi-disciplinary team.

- Ability to work flexibly and deal with conflicting demands, keeping the people who use our service at the centre
- Strong communication skills which demonstrate empathy, reassurance and a trauma informed approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also working autonomously and managing own workload.
- Commitment to learning, personal development, and undertaking training relevant to the role (including Drug and Alcohol Practitioner Accreditation)
- Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent in a related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies Or Equivalent experience
