Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join the Leg Ulcer Team North, based at Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation. The role involves managing patients with leg ulcers and assisting in delivering care plans with an emphasis on self-care. The successful candidate will be competent, well-organised, and have an interest in wound care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position requires community travel and offers a chance to contribute to high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Essential criteria

  • Obtained an educational level of GCSE level A - C English and Maths or equivalent
  • NVQ /Diploma level 3 or equivalent higher apprenticeship in healthcare
  • Experience in delivering care in a healthcare or people centred environment
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Evidence of competence in care skills
  • Able to delegate work appropriately
  • Good written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Competent IT skills
  • Able to present information, written and orally in an accurate clear and logical manner
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Ability to write accurate and legibly in patient notes

Job summary

Leg Ulcer Team North is pleased to offer the exciting opportunity of a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker. The Team is based at Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation and covers both Clinics across South Warwickshire and home visits across. The service currently runs Mon - Fri 8:30 - 16:30hrs.

We are looking to recruit a competent and well organised individual, with a particular interest in wound care. The role requires management of patients affected by Leg ulcers, and the post holder will assist and help deliver a plan of care to meet the individual's needs with emphasis being placed on self-care.

The successful candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills. The post is a community post and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role is essential

The Band 3 Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction but not direct supervision of the registered staff and working as part of the multidisciplinary team.
