Role summary
This role is part of the Quality Management Team for Paediatric Haematology, Oncology & BMT services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards like HTA and JACIE. The postholder will manage audits, inspections, CAPA plans, and risk, while maintaining quality systems and staff competency records. It involves strong collaboration with external bodies and internal stakeholders to drive service improvement and uphold high standards of care. This leadership position also includes line management and operational oversight for staff within BMT, IEC Therapy, and Paediatric Haematology and Oncology. The role requires independent decision-making, commitment to continuous improvement, and promoting patient confidentiality.

- Previous patient facing experience, within the NHS
- Experience in maintaining data on a computer system

- Experience of staff management
- Knowledge and experience of JACIE accreditation process
- Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection Act, Humman Tissue Act, Blood safety and Quality Act
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal input from line manager; ability to use initiative and problem solve
- Ability to prioritise own workload, manage work-related pressures and to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Good report writing skills, and skilled at using a standard keyboard
- Ability to respond to and document complex telephone calls
- Qualifications and Training
- Education to degree level, or an equivalent experience
- Good general standard of education, including GCSEs (grade A-C) in English & Maths, or equivalent
- Computer literate and trained in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including email (Outlook)
- Knowledge and Experience

Job summary
