Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Adult Community Services team at Whittington Health. The role involves a 50/50 split between the Haringey Community Pain Service and Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service. You will provide specialist assessment, treatment, and management for patients with complex musculoskeletal and persistent pain conditions. The position offers excellent opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills in both pain management and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, supported by experienced senior clinicians and a multidisciplinary team.
Essential criteria
- Good written/spoken English
- Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy leading to HPC registration
Desirable criteria
- Membership of professional groups
- Recent and relevant post-registration training / courses in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
- Knowledge and Experience
- Exp of working in MSK outpatients inc acute, chronic, GP, consultant and self referrals
- Problem solving approach
- Specialised knowledge and experience of working with a wide range of approaches to the clinical reasoning and management of patients with complex pain and movement dysfunction presentations
- Post-registration physiotherapy experience in MSK
- musculoskeletal outpatients Orthopaedics Sports injuries, Rheumatology Neuro/Elderly Rehabilitation
- Working in the NHS
- Specialised knowledge of the current management guidelines and evidence in the safe treatment of Musculoskeletal disorders
- Involvement in clinical audit/evaluation projects/service development
- Skills and Abilities
- Specialised knowledge of the safe management of musculoskeletal disorders
- Ability to prioritise
- Flexible approach to changing circumstances and departmental needs
- Able to demonstrate good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to self-motivate and motivate others
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork
- Good organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
- Monitored/supervised: Physiotherapy staff students Assistants/clerical staff
- Previous experience teaching Musculoskeletal physiotherapy staff/students and other professionals
