Role summary

Essential criteria
- Band 2/3 HCA acute experience
- NVQ level 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience

- Knowledge and experience
- At least 12 months experience working at Healthcare Assistant level in an Acute setting
- Good IT skills
- Ability to record personal generated information
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work with colleagues in other specialities
- Ability to communicate effectively using persuasion, tact, empathy, and reassurance
- Ability to overcome communication barriers with patients
- Ability to organise and prioritise own day to day work tasks and activities
- Ability to plan own work from tasks delegated by medical professionals
- Possessing a personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources including safe use of equipment
- Ability to demonstrate duties to new starters

Job summary
We are recruiting for Doctors Assistants to support our growing service within Site Support services. Your role will bea clinical support post designed to help with clinical and administrative tasks that support ward MDT, including Junior Doctors, Physician Associates and Nursing teams.
Examples of duties include phlebotomy, cannulation also with Ultrasound, PICC bloods, assessing for dementia screening, VTE screening, and liaising with other clinical staff.
You will work across our acute site providing expert clinical support to our clinical teams as well as our community outpatient phlebotomy services.
You will work with the multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for assisting the MDT to improve and maintain high standards of care, health and well-being of patients through assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
Working Pattern
This role will be Monday to Sunday 07:30 - 00:00
Hours available are
1 x 37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
- Undertake point of care testing (POCT) of INR when required.
- Take/record observations/measurements. Any readings deviating from the Trust's normal range are to be reported to a registered professional;
- Carry out routine urine testing, record results and report any abnor
