Role summary
An opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist with an interest in specialist medicine to join an integrated therapy team at Charing Cross Hospital. The role involves leading a team on wards, seeing a range of patients with varied conditions, and planning timely discharges. It's an ideal opportunity to develop leadership, prioritisation, time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills. The post holder will also supervise a rotational Band 5 Physio and work closely with a Therapy Support Worker.
Essential criteria
- Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy.
- State registration with the Health Professions Council
- Able to demonstrate specialist learning from previous physiotherapy rotations, formal post-graduate level learning and informal CPD (both general and specific to clinical fields of speciality
Desirable criteria
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Membership of CSP special interest groups relevant to speciality
- Recent substantial and sustained experience in relevant physiotherapy pecialities and clinical settings
- Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team
- Experience of clinical education of staff, students or assistants.
- Experience of supervision of students/ physiotherapy assistants, with development of basic supervision skills
- Experience of on-call and weekend working in an acute hospital
- Previous experience in the NHS as a qualified physiotherapist
- Previous senior physiotherapist experience in relevant post

Job summary
Following an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist with an interest in specialist medicine to join our integrated therapy team at Charing Cross Hospital.
The post holder will predominately be based on one of our 8th floor wards where they will help lead the team seeing a range of patients requiring therapy intervention prior to returning home or transfer to community rehab units. There will be a range of ages, conditions, co-morbidities and complex social situations to manage and the post holder will form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, helping plan timely and safe discharges from the wards.
If you want to develop more confidence in your leadership, prioritisation, time management, delegation and problem solving skills, then this is an ideal opportunity for you. In addition, you will have supervisory responsibility for a rotational Band 5 Physio and will work closely with a Therapy Support Worker. Supervisory support and advice is always available.
