Role summary

This role involves optimising and training on clinical systems, primarily SystmOne, EMIS, and Medicus, across Essex for the ICB and GP sites. The specialist will develop an innovative training platform, provide support for system migrations and mergers, and offer subject matter expertise.   • Enthusiasm for and experience of championing the critical role of technology and digitalisation in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery and associated outcomes
  • Educated to master degree level (relevant focus) or equivalent managerial experience
  • Evidence of sustained commitment to continuing professional development

  • Ability to plan, lead and deliver clinical system training either face to face or virtually
  • Experience in delivering general practice clinical system migrations
  • Experience in developing a general practice clinical systems virtual training hub
  • Experience working with the Electronic Referral Service (eRS)
  • Knowledge of other clinical systems such as Clinisys, ICE

This is an exciting time to join the Essex ICB IT team. Digital and IT are a key pillar of the NHS plan and this role will help shape a the clinical system optimisation and training across Essex. You will supporting the ICB and the GP sites, helping them get the most out of their clinical systems.

This is a great opportunity for you to develop a innovate clinical system training platform and assist practices and ICB staff with clinical system training and support (predominantly SystmOne, but there is some EMIS). You will be supporting practices through clinical system mergers and migrations and will be on hand to offer subject matter expertise. This role will be key in helping the practices deliver excellent care for their patients.

Main duties of the job

You will:

Be passionate about primary care and digital tools

Be an expert in the use of primary care clinical system tools, namely SystmOne, EMIS and Medicus

Be able to plan, manage and provide onsite support for clinical system migrations

Work with practices providing clinical system expertise and training
