Role summary
This is an 18-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join a supportive community mental health team at Norris Green CMHT Hub. Essential criteria

- Post graduate accredited study e.g. PSI, CBT, MSc in relevant health studies
- Previous experience in relevant health settings
- Supervision of staff
- Experience of service development
- Post graduate clinical experience, within mental health services
- Effective team working within a multi-agency framework
- Experience using both group and individual treatment skills
- Demonstrate experience of problem-solving approaches
- Audit and research practices relevant to clinical area

Job summary
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to develop your clinical skills within a supportive community mental health team? Are you passionate about using your assessment, problem-solving and communication skills to deliver person-centred interventions that support recovery and promote independence for individuals with complex mental health needs?
We have an 18 month fixed term/secondment opportunity. Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapy post that is integral to our multi disciplinary team at Norris Green CMHT Hub.
You will be contributing to the high quality assessment and treatment for people living with mental illness , facilitating interventions and support on-going recovery.
Informal visits and/or phone contact to gain further information from the team manager/OT are very much welcomed.
Main duties of the job
To deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions for an identified group of people/caseload.
To support core duties of the Community Mental Health Team.The post holder will contribute to effective MDT working supporting people in the community.
