Role summary

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Experience working within an HR environment and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters
  • Proficient in word processing and in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
  • A sound working knowledge of a range of policies and management procedures
  • It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role

Desirable criteria

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
  • European Computer Driving Licence
  • Knowledge/experience of working within an NHS environment
  • Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
  • Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic team of People (HR) professionals based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park in an People (HR) Advisor role. We are seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to work within our fast-paced Operational People (HR) Team.

This role is pivotal in supporting the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service that is focussed on supporting staff across the organisation to achieve outcomes in line with the vision and values of the Trust.

The posts will be based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park, however the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Ability to meet these travel requirement is therefore essential. Blended/flexible working is supported by the Trust.
