Role summary
This new role provides specialist safeguarding support across North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust, helping to shape the health contribution to the Warrington Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The post holder will offer expert advice, support, and leadership on adult safeguarding matters, with the role evolving as the MASH model develops. It involves supporting staff in identifying and managing safeguarding concerns, ensuring safe practice in line with relevant acts. A key aspect is developing the health safeguarding function within the MASH, strengthening information sharing and multi-agency decision-making.

- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills able to engage and build effective relationships at all levels within WHH and with external partners
- Experience of implementing and facilitating education and training programmes
- Ability to analyse issues and think critically
- Experience of managing complex safeguarding cases
- Evidence of multi-agency working
Desirable criteria
- Presentation skills
- Ability to research and audit
- Registered Nurse / Allied Health Professional
- Educated to Masters Degree or evidence of working towards
- Demonstration of Leadership or management experience and study
- Previous working knowledge and experience in safeguarding is essential.
- Experience in and a sound working knowledge of the children Act, MCA, Prevent and the wider safeguarding agenda is required for this role.
- Ability to analyse issues and think critically
- Experience of training delivery in large and small groups of all grades of staff
- Previous experience of working at a senior ward/dept. level and be able to manage challenging situations.

Main duties of the job
