Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nursing Associate to join an established community nursing team in the Derbyshire Dales. The role involves providing individualised care to housebound patients, including long-term condition management, venepuncture, medication administration, and various nursing assessments. The successful candidate will work in a multi-professional team, manage their workload, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient welfare. Access to a car is required for community visits.

  • Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice;
  • Evidence of receiving complex, sensitive information
  • Skills and Attributes
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non- verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload;
  • Computer literacy and ability to demonstrate IT skills e.g. email, PowerPoint, SystmOne

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nursing Associate to join our established community nursing team in the idyllic Derbyshire Dales . This role will provide care for housebound patients in the Ashbourne and surrounding areas.

As a Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide community based individualised care to include long-term condition management, venepuncture and medication administration as well as completing various nursing assessments and following treatment regimes.

This is a very exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to progress and develop in the role.

Main duties of the job

Working as a Nursing Associate you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do.

You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic.

For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other staff and patients. You will also have the opportunity to manage your workload on a daily basis, following the guidance of your line manager.
