This contract type is not eligible for Skilled Worker sponsorship.
NHS Trusts cannot issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for part-time, bank, locum, zero-hours, job-share or short fixed-term (under 12 months) contracts under current Home Office rules. This applies even when the wider Trust holds a Skilled Worker licence.
Role summary
This is a part-time, fixed-term Healthcare Assistant role on Lickey Ward, a patient-centred rehabilitation environment. You will work under the direction of registered nurses, providing high-quality, person-centred care to patients. Key duties include assisting with personal care, mobility, clinical observations, and supporting rehabilitation programmes. The role requires working a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
Essential criteria
- Ability to provide limited delegated clinical duties to patients e.g. patient observations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to challenge poor behaviour.
- Role modelling good behaviour.
- A positive attitude and able to act on feedback.
- Experience of working in a care environment.
- Additional Criteria
- I understand that the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesn't guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.
- Vocational qualification level 3 or equivalent / level 2 qualification in care and willing to undertake relevant level 3 qualification upon appointment.
- Care Certificate or expected to gain within 12 weeks of commencing in Trust.
- Willing and able to undertake Safety Intervention training.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
