Role summary
This is a 12-month fixed-term full-time position for a Band 5 Registered Nurse in the Gynaecology Outpatients Department. The role requires a passionate and motivated nurse with an interest in women's health, capable of working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth clinic operations, patient communication, stock management, and participating in learning and development opportunities, especially in nurse-led clinics. - 1st Level Registered Nurse (degree/diploma)
- Current NMC Registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Knowledge and Experience
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of NMC professional standards for practice contained within the code
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- An understanding of national, regional and local NHS issues
- Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
- Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to network and build relationships at all levels
- Effectively prioritises and co-ordinates own workload
- Ability to de-escalate complex situations
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Awareness of the need for confidentiality at all times
- Computer literacy e.g. experience of electronic patient record

- Frequent moderate effort for several short periods of time such as manual handling of patients and equipment

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurse at 37.5 hours for our Gynaecology outpatients department. Fixed term role of 12 months.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated nurse who has an interest in women's health. Are you a caring and self-motivated nurse who is a strong team player but also has an enthusiasm for working autonomously with excellent communication skills?
The service is currently Monday to Friday, though you will need to be flexible as clinics may change due to demand. You will also be asked to travel to support some of our community clinics.
There will be opportunities for learning and development especially in nurse led clinics. You will be responsible for working with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure smooth running of the clinic, ensuring patients are kept informed of waiting times, prioritising tasks as appropriate, keeping well-coordinated stock levels or equipment and patient information leaflets.
Due to the short term nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold full registration with the NMC and have existing right to work in the UK, at the time of application.
