Job summary

The Estates Department is looking to recruit a highly motivated trained individual, to join our Estates Team as a Joiner. This rare opportunity offers an individual the experience of working within a large healthcare estate.

On a day to day basis, you typically will:

  • Carry out minor and general joinery installation work, door locks, fire seals, fire doors, window checks etc...
  • Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to key trade, with minimal supervision as instructed by supervisors and completion of jobs on Micad via PDAs
  • Undertake routine maintenance (PPM)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders with regards to building maintenance and new minor work schemes

The successful candidate will be based at York, but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites when required .

You will be part of a team working day shifts Monday to Friday, but also covering when necessary across other Trust sites.You must therefore be able to be flexible regarding the hours of duty, and will be expected to undertake appropriate training as part of the job role.
