Role summary
Join an award-winning Public Health Dietetics team in Gwynedd and Anglesey to improve health through nutrition. This role involves delivering food and nutrition training and supporting community-based activities for professionals and the public. You will contribute to established programmes aligned with public health priorities, including accredited training and best practice awards for childcare settings. The position is fixed-term until March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver accredited nutrition courses for community-based staff.
- Work as a member of the Public Health Dietetics team and within multi-agency teams, advising on client needs.
- Improve basic food and nutrition skills among community partners/agencies.
- Participate in various partnership/Task and Finish groups.
- Undertake clinical governance responsibilities within the service area.
Essential criteria
- Recognised qualification degree/equivalent in Dietetics.
- HCPC registered.
- A range of nutrition experience across population groups including working with an NHS Dietetics team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
Desirable criteria
- Membership of appropriate clinical network group.
- Experience of working in multi-professional teams.
- Experience of delegating work to non-registered staff.
- Experience of supporting service change.
- Self-motivating and ability to motivate others.
- Ability to speak welsh
