Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Educator to join a dedicated education team, focusing on the recruitment and retention of nursing staff and supporting their development across unplanned care. The post holder will work with various staff groups, including apprentices, HCSWs, and newly qualified nurses, helping them embed into clinical areas and build confidence. It involves facilitating learning, providing pastoral support, and promoting a supportive learning culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and staff development.
Essential criteria
- BSc/Nurse Practitioner Degree or appropriate qualification
- Mentorship preparation or equivalent
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and post registration studies in a clinical portfolio
Desirable criteria
- Master's Degree or working towards
- Registered Nurse/AHP with extensive post-registration experience
- Evidence of ability to provide support mechanism to other staff within the Emergency areas
- Experience in formal teaching programmes
- Experience of policies and guideline development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain standards of care/leadership in a busy environment
- Must be able to use initiative to prioritise and organise workload
- Knowledge of up to date issues in Nurse/AHP education
- Experience of implementing change
- Aptitude

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of staff groups including apprentices, Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs), Registered Nursing Associates, Newly Qualified Nurses, and Internationally Educated Nurses.
