Role summary
This role is for a Senior Information Analyst within the Informatics team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will use advanced analytical and technical skills to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights for various stakeholders. They will act as a subject matter expert for NHS datasets and reporting, specifically supporting the Community and Children's Services division with business intelligence, KPI monitoring, and service reporting development. The position involves designing and developing national returns and maintaining key divisional reports.
Essential criteria
- Degree in mathematics, computing or another discipline with high numerical content or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Masters level degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Skills/Abilities
- Advanced querying skills against large relational database management systems
- An ability to handle highly sensitive patient data in a confidential and senstivie fashion
- Extensive experience of receiving and/or extracting complex and sensitive data-sets from complex systems
- Proven ability to provide information in order to guide management action
- Effective staff management skills

- Effective budgetary management skills
- Skilled in the use and interpretation of statistical analytical tools
- Extensive experience in NHS information environments
- Extensive experience of receiving and/or extracting complex and sensitive data sets from complex systems
- Extensive experience of using standard BI tools like Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI
- Experience of managing, motivating and developing teams of people
- Experience of working effectively with clinical teams
- Experience supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Expert knowledge of Access targets
- Detailed knowledge of information use across the NHS
- Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Caldicott Principles and NHS Information Governance requirements
- Knowedge of anonymisation and pseudonymisation techniques for healthcare data.
