Job summary
A Healthcare Assistant is responsible for helping patients with their daily needs while ensuring they are comfortable, safe and treated with dignity and respect. The role involves both direct patient care and supporting the wider health care team.
Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.
Main duties of the job
Assisting patients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
Helping patients with eating, drinking and mobility.
Supporting patients with emotional and social needs.
Monitoring and recording observations such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration and oxygen saturation where trained.
Assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care and clinical procedures.
Maintaining accurate patient records and reporting and changes in a patient's condition.
Following infection prevention and control procedures.
Promoting patient dignity, privacy and independence.
Adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
