Role summary
East Coast Community Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Nurse to provide shared leadership to a team of community nursing staff delivering out-of-hours care in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area. The role involves responding to urgent and unplanned care needs, including falls, providing remote advice, and making clinical prioritisation decisions. The successful candidate will also care for palliative patients and their families, and be competent in managing urethral and supra-pubic catheters. This position supports integrated multi-professional working to meet local health needs.
Essential criteria
- \*Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse Level 1 (Adult)
- \*BSc in Nursing Practice or equivalent
- \*Evidence of continued professional development and a professional portfolio.
- \*Leadership/ management qualification or willing to undertake
- \*Health Coaching programme or willing to undertake
Desirable criteria
- \*Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing
- \*Community Nurse Prescriber v100 /v150
- \*Independent non- medical prescriber
- \*Mentorship / Teaching and Assessing Course (ENB 998) or equivalent
- \*Experience working within a similar field of nursing/healthcare
- \*Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- \*Experience of working with frail older adults and awareness of the complex issues relating to this client group.
- \*Previous experience at band 6 level.
- \*Clinical experience gained in a community/intermediate care setting.
- \*Student supervision/clinical education
- \*Experience of clinical audit
- \*Experience of successful change management
- \*Experience of facilitating clinical supervision
