Role summary
This role is for a Senior Assistant Technical Officer in the pharmacy clinical trials service at Barts Health NHS Trust. Essential criteria
- Level 2 Pharmacy services Assistant
Desirable criteria
- GCSE grades A -C or 9-4 oEnglish Language oMaths oScience Or functional skills Level 2 in Maths and English
- Proven experience of good performance in previous Pharmacy posts.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy clinical trials, aseptics or dispensary services
- Experience of working in a team
- Experience in training others
- Experience in customer care environment
- Understand issues involved in stock control and medicines distribution
- Interested in and have knowledge of the use of drugs
- Understand the importance of quality issues
- Understand customer care issues
- Understanding of relevant legislation -Health and Safety -Data protection -Equality and Diversity
- Good knowledge of all aspects of GCP and GMP
- Excellent communication skills
- IT literate; Able to use Microsoft Office programmes proficiently
- Able to plan own work and the supervision of others in a clear and organised way
- Able to work alone or as part of a team, with different grades of staff
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work to policies and procedures
- Able to perform calculations
- Good time management skills and able to meet deadlines
- Able to communicate well with all members of the team (internal and external to Pharmacy) and externally with customers in a confident manner
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including on the telephone
- Confident to work unsupervised, takes initiative and uses own judgement in anticipating and dealing
- Able to work calmly under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to use CMM (JAC) and BD Cato
