Role summary
This role involves coordinating and providing administrative support to the cancer multidisciplinary process within the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will track and coordinate the patient journey from referral through diagnosis to treatment, ensuring timely scheduling of tests and appointments. They will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, equitable patient care and efficient pathway implementation. The role aims to support sustained recovery in cancer performance by identifying and resolving barriers to care.
Essential criteria
- GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths
- NVQ 3 in administration or related subject or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft packages including word/excel.
- Recent relevant NHS experience
- Recent experience of establishing and maintaining office systems, data collection and analysis
- Experience of working in a busy environment that requires flexibility
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with or in a Multi-disciplinary Team
- Experience of Patient Administration Systems
- Accurate keyboard skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel)
- Key Skills
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral, including ability to relate to people.
