Role summary

This is an exciting Band 5 Rotational Dietitian post at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, working across primary and secondary care. The role involves providing specialist advice to inpatients in Acute Hospitals, Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Outpatient clinics, as well as supporting patients in community settings. Essential criteria

  • A BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics/ or equivalent
  • Health Professions Council Registered

  • Previous work experience demonstrated

  • Experience working in an Acute/Community Environment
  • Sound clinical knowledge based on current best practice and research relating to nutrition and dietetics
  • Knowledge of prescribable oral nutritional supplements, enteral feeds and other dietetic products
  • Knowledge of medications and drug nutrient interactions
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job summary

Are you looking for a new and exciting role? We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our Dietetic Team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an exciting and innovative Band 5 Rotational Dietitian post, working with primary and secondary care across East Sussex.

As a Band 5 Dietitian within ESHT you will be supported in clinical rotations across the Acute and Community settings. Duties include providing specialist advice to Stroke, Frailty, Surgery, Gastroenterology and Orthopaedics inpatients in the Acute Hospitals, Rehabilitation Hospitals and Outpatient clinics.

You will liaise closely with the patient's relatives and carers regarding ongoing nutritional care and discharge planning. You will also provide expert nutritional advice and knowledge to the wider MDT. In community settings you will support patients in face to face clinics, via virtual/telephone clinics, as well as in their home and in care home settings, to manage their oral and enteral nutritional requirements.
