Role summary

This role is for a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a leading cancer centre. Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and contribute to multidisciplinary teams through ward pharmacy services.
  • Promote optimal and appropriate drug use and high-quality prescribing practice within the Trust.
  • Attend relevant events such as Registrar/Consultant rounds and unit meetings.
  • Respond to requests from medical and nursing staff for drug therapy information and advice.
  • Actively participate in audit, drug use reviews, and pharmacoeconomic project work.
  • Support the Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager with Clinical Governance and Risk Management Strategy.

Essential criteria

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • NHS Hospital Pharmacy experience
  • Good organisational/time management
  • Contribute to the team
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good presentation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to train/coach other members of staff
  • Awareness of current developments in clinical pharmacy
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word and Excel
