Role summary

This role is for a Community Therapy Team Lead within the HMR Community Therapy Service, responsible for clinical, professional, and managerial oversight. Key responsibilities

Essential criteria

  • Registration with HCPC
  • Relevant Professional Health related degree
  • Possess a recognised Clinical skills Module at Masters level or equivalent knowledge
  • Substantive post registration experience
  • Extensive knowledge/clinical experience in Urgent and or Community setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of local health and social care pathways
  • Experience in the management of long term conditions e.g. dementia, COPD, CHD etc
  • Able to demonstrate previous leadership experience

Job summary

The HMR Community Therapy Service is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the population of Heywood Middleton and Rochdale.

As team Lead, the post holder will have clinical, professional and managerial responsibility for the community therapy service including clinical and staff governance issues. The post holder is responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.

Working as Team leader, the band 7 will be part of the therapy and wider multidisciplinary team. The post holder will use advanced therapeutic skills in a variety of areas to provide direct high quality and effective therapeutic care and support to patients and provide day to dayoperational management and leadership to the team.
