Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer to join the Oxford Radiotherapy Department. You will deliver safe, high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques and work with cutting-edge technology. The role involves supporting the team leader, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, and supervising junior staff. The department is committed to professional development and offers opportunities for project, audit, and research work.

Essential criteria

  • BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
  • HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer
  • Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques
  • A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
  • Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period
  • Current relevant experience
  • Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities

  • Evidence of post graduate study
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous senior experience
  • Experience of advanced techniques e.g., SABR, SRS, DIBH, TBI, Adaptive RT
  • Evaluation of CBCT images
  • Experience of mentoring/training student radiographers
