Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC
- Evidence of ongoing professional development

- Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
- Post-registration qualification in cancer care, urology or related speciality
- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Post-registration experience within an acute healthcare setting.
- Experience of managing a caseload of patients with complex care needs.
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working
- Experience of patient assessment, care planning and coordination
- Experience within urology, oncology or cancer services.
- Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role.

Are you an experienced and compassionate registered nurse looking to develop your career in urology cancer services?
We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Urology Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team on a 9-month fixed-term or secondment opportunity to provide maternity leave cover.
As a Urology Cancer CNS, you will support patients with suspected or confirmed urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile cancers. Acting as a key point of contact, you will provide specialist advice, emotional support, patient education and care coordination.
You will undertake holistic needs assessments, support patients to make informed decisions about treatment, coordinate cancer pathways and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, personalised care.
The role includes contributing to service improvement, audit, clinical governance and quality initiatives that support safe, effective and evidence-based cancer care.
Previous CNS experience is desirable but not essential, as a structured training and development programme will be provided.
