Role summary
This role involves providing administrative support and coordination for the Wheelchair Repair and Service team. The post holder will liaise with patients, carers, and relatives regarding wheelchair mobility aid repairs and services, and assist in allocating and coordinating daily workloads. Responsibilities also include stock control, ordering, monitoring, and allocating wheelchairs and accessories. The job requires a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and high-standard delivery of repair services and goods.
Essential criteria
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative. Self motivated.
- Good geographical knowledge of Gloucestershire, Bristol and surrounding areas.
- Reliable and punctual

- Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Organisational skills including meticulous attention to detail, managing and prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines
- IT Literate
- Ability to manage phone calls professionally with patients and carers who may be challenging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident and articulate telephone manner.
- Experience of working within a team and able to work with people at all levels
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Experience working within a pressurised environment
- Education and qualifications
