Role summary

This is a part-time/job share Ward Manager position at Mountnessing Court, an Intermediate Care rehabilitation hospital. Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with therapists, medical staff and community partners to facilitate timely rehabilitation and discharge planning.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with Trust policies and standards.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse (NMC registered).
  • Significant post-registration experience, including experience in rehabilitation, intermediate care, older people's services or community inpatient settings.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Experience of staff supervision, performance management and service improvement.

Desirable criteria

  • Leadership or management qualification.
  • Experience managing change and quality improvement projects.
  • Understanding of rehabilitation pathways and discharge planning processes.
