Role summary
This is a Biomedical Scientist position in Haematology/Blood Transfusion at Royal Derby Hospital, with potential work at Queens Hospital Burton. Job summary
Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) Haematology/Blood Transfusion Based at the Royal Derby Hospital/Queens Hospital Burton site
We are inviting applications from motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join our friendly and hardworking team in Haematology/Blood Transfusion at UHDB. The individual will be mainly based on the on the Derby site but may also be expected to work on the Queens Hospital Burton site depending on service needs.Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratory experience is essential for this role. Candidates must have completed an IBMS Accredited degree or have undertaken supplementary education/top-up modules to meet HCPC Standards of Proficiency for biomedical scientists.
Please note that this is not a trainee post and only candidates who are HCPC registered or candidates who have applied to the HCPC and are awaiting HCPC registration will be considered for the post.
Full training will be supported in this post.
All candidates will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift system once appropriate training and competencies have been completed.
