Role summary
This role is for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join the Digital Services team, providing 3rd line technical support for server and infrastructure environments. You will investigate and resolve complex technical issues, manage patching and vulnerability remediation, and support technical changes and project delivery. The position involves working with server, storage, virtualisation, cloud, Active Directory, and network technologies, contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects and modernising the digital estate. It requires travel across Trust sites and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent
- (e.g., Electrical Electronic or
- Communication).
- Industry standard IT qualifications CNE, MCP, MCSE, CompTIA or an equivalent qualification or have relevant experience. Evidence of continued professional development and specialist
- knowledge.
- Evidence of continued professional development and specialist knowledge.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

- Qualification or Working knowledge of ITIL concepts.
- Server virtualisation qualification or equivalent knowledge.
- MCSE or equivalent knowledge.

- Experience of supporting infrastructure and systems within an NHS setting.

Job summary
We are
looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our Digital
Services team.
This is an
exciting opportunity to work hands-on with the infrastructure that underpins
clinical and operational systems across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You
will work across a complex enterprise environment, supporting server, storage,
virtualisation, cloud technologies, Active Directory and network technologies
whilst helping design and implement new solutions.
You will
join a small, highly productive team where you will have the opportunity to
develop your technical expertise, contribute to large-scale infrastructure
projects and help modernise our Digital estate.
The post is
full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is supported
with travel across Trust sites required.
We are
looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, takes
ownership and wants to make a genuine difference through technology.
Based
at Kings Court 1 but will be required to work across all of
Worcestershire and Herefordshire as required.
