Job summary
Band 3 Senior health care assistant job available on our wonderful Outpatients Departments.
The department is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic experienced band 3 Health Care Assistant who has oncology experience.
In this role you will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care for patients. You will work alongside experienced staff to ensure patients have positive journey throughout their time at the Christie.
The role will also involve running busy clinics and working in our busy blood rooms. If you are enthusiastic with excellent communication skills with an empathic nature alongside excellent IT skills, we would welcome your application.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve running busy clinics with different malignancies, working alongside the multidisciplinary team. Working in our very busy blood room taking bloods peripherally, central lines and ports.
Assisting nurses with admissions by taking patients observations, ECG`s, urinalysis, blood sugars, providing personal hygiene and recording patients height and weight.
Please note we have 3 full time roles available: 1 will be to work in department 1 outpatients - Monday to Friday 8-6 and occasional weekend working on a Saturday 8-4 alongside bank holid
