Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to join the Urology Day Case Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Our unit consists of two operating theatres and a 15-bed ward , working closely alongside our outpatient flexible cystoscopy clinic. We provide care for patients undergoing a wide range of urological procedures, including outpatient treatments, day-case surgery, inpatient surgery and robotic surgery .
We are proud to be a friendly, supportive and inclusive multidisciplinary team, comprising consultants, staff grade and junior doctors, advanced clinical practitioners, surgical care practitioners, operating department practitioners (ODPs), registered nurses, healthcare assistants, and reception and secretarial staff.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a registered practitioner holding either** NMC registration with an anaesthetic qualification desirable but not essential or HCPC registration as an ODP** . Working as part of the Urology Day Case theatre team, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient day-to-day running of urology operating lists, some of which are undertaken within the Surgical Theat
