Role summary
This role seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Education Lead to enhance learning and development within the Public Health Service. You will design, deliver, and evaluate education programmes, ensuring staff training meets professional standards and supports evidence-based practice. The position involves promoting a positive learning culture, supporting apprentices and students, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) training programme.
Essential criteria
- You'll need to have a Level 6 Degree in Nursing or Midwifery as well as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with a Health Visiting Qualification
- Proven ability to work effectively within your area of practice, supported by relevant experience. As well as managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
- You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with a current registration.
- Knowledge and skills
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
- You will understand where to signpost clients and families to alternative services to support behaviour change and improve health
- You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks. You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker.
Desirable criteria
- Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
- Working enviroment
- A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
