Role summary
This Senior Administrator role supports the Digital Health Service by providing comprehensive administrative assistance. The postholder will manage their own workload, prioritize tasks, and act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Flexibility is needed to support service development.
Key responsibilities
- Answering telephone to patients and clinical professionals
- Processing referrals
- Admitting patients to the wards
- Booking appointments
- Discharging patients
- Support data submission
- Supervising staff
- Manage own workload
- Liaise with Business Support Supervisor and Ward Managers to ensure workflow through the service
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in administration or equivalent level of experience
- Good basic education, demonstrating high levels of literacy and numeracy
- Administration experience within a busy office environment
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to prioritise and work well under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to work as part of a Team
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience

The post holder will be required to manage and prioritise their day-to-day workload and use their initiative, without direct supervision, for routine tasks.
