Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join the theatre teams at Ealing Hospital. You will support surgical teams, perform supportive roles in a busy environment using advanced technology, and care for patients across different surgical specialties. In-house training and education will be provided, and you will participate in out-of-hours, weekend, and night-time emergency surgery after training. Upon completion of a competency programme, you will circulate for procedures and manage instrument and stock supply.

- GCSEs at grades A-C or 4-9 / A* - C, including Mathematics and English (ENIC equivalent) Or Level 2 Functional Skill in English and Mathematics certificates o
- Basic computer literacy
- NVQ Level 2 Health or Social Care certificate

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join and support our theatre teams in Ealing hospital. You will perform supportive roles alongside experts in the field in a busy but friendly environment using advance technology to care and serve our patients in different surgical specialties. Theatre experience will be an advantage, but in-housing training and education will be provided for suitable candidates to fulfill the role. You will also participate as part of the team to support the out of hours, weekend and night time emergency surgery after training.
Newly appointed staff have a supernumerary induction period, supported by a Practice Development Nurse using our in-house competency documents. The department offers training and career development for our support workers.
Upon successful completion of the theatre support worker competency programme, you will circulate for a range ofprocedures under supervision. You will also have a chance to learn to manage the instrument and stock supply for the department. As your confidence and knowledge grows you will take an active role in teaching newcomers 2 theatre support and Trainees.
